Hey Fit Fam! Today is the first day of my new FITNESS SERIES! Can I tell you how excited I am to share this with you guys?! In the next couple of weeks, I’ll be setting you up for everything you need to succeed. You’re going to love every part of this – especially if you’re looking for ways to stay motivated during comfy sweater weather! Up first… how to stick to your fitness goals! Are you ready, babes?!

Let’s be real… we all have days when we want to skip that workout or when we just want to eat allll da things. That’s when you have to take a minute, breathe and think about what you REALLY want. Sure, you can make excuses about not having enough time today or that you’ll start tomorrow, but I’m here to tell you to start now. THIS. VERY. MOMENT.

The most important thing I’ve learned is to make myself accountable and to make myself a priority. It’s not to look great in my workout clothes, but to feel great in my own skin. It’s not to impress someone else, but to be the best version of ME there is. It isn’t easy and I have to work hard at it, but it’s WORTH it. I’m worth it. And YOU are worth it! Ready to crush your goals?

Step 1: Determine Your Goal
Right now, take a few minutes and decide EXACTLY what you are going to do TODAY to show love for yourself. This is a mini goal or something you know you can accomplish today, like, “I love myself enough to walk 15 minutes during my lunch break,” “I love myself enough to eat nourishing, healthy and satisfying meals today,” or “I love myself enough to replace my sodas with water today.”

Step 2: Write It Down
Put pen to paper. Put fingers to the keyboard. Studies show that people who write down their goals on a regular basis achieved their goals at a significantly higher rate than those who didn’t. Write it down and put it in a place where you can see it all day.

One of my favorite apps everrrr allows me to add custom text to my phone’s lock screen. I just type in my goals for the day and I see it every time I look at my phone.

Step 3: Gather Your People and Spread the Word
You’ve got a goal!! Yay!! Getting fit and healthy is a lot more fun when you share it! Collect ideas from people you trust and you’ll quickly gain the support you need to stay motivated and committed.

Step 4: Make It Happen
This is the moment you tap into your willpower! Do whatever it is YOU NEED TO DO to get it done. Say to yourself, “I’m serious about this. I’m committed to this. This matters to me. It’s my life and I’m doing this for me.” You can handle it, babes!

Step 5: Celebrate and Be Grateful
When you’ve accomplished your goal for the day, take a moment and be grateful. When you love yourself enough to take care of yourself, the possibilities are endless! If you dedicate time and effort to your body, you WILL see positive changes. Work HARD at it. Every. Single. Day.
