Deba Wilson Using an Organic Coffee Scrub Exfoliator When Traveling

Hi, guys! We just got back from a business trip to Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania. We had a lot of fun and the guys ate way too much chocolate! Every time I turned around, Tim and Trevor were eating another candy bar! How can you resist when they have a big bowl of chocolate in the lobby?

We absolutely love traveling, but being prepared is everything. From dry air on airplane flights to strange hotel beauty products, traveling can really wreck havoc on the skin. I try my best to stick to my regular skin care routine, so here are some tips I have found that work for me:

HELLO, HYDRATION!

I always have water with me. ALWAYS. It’s so much easier to sip on throughout the day instead of waiting and chugging glassfuls in the evening because I didn’t drink enough. I keep my water bottle on hand and I always try to use filtered water. I’ve tried many different ones and I like this one the best because it is made of glass and the lid is made from food-grade silicone.

EAT YOUR VEGGIES

I don’t know about you, but when I travel, it’s always more difficult to stick to clean eating. When we were younger, we loved stopping at rest stops to stock up on our favorite treats. I’m quite tempted by that box of Good ‘n Plenty calling my name, so I always pack a lot of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables to ward off the temptation. Citrus fruits, berries, baby carrots and miniature bell peppers are very easy to travel with and keep me feeling energized and healthy.

CARRY YOUR CLEANSER

A good cleanser is such an important part of my skin care routine. I decided to replace my chemical-based cleanser with this pure soap years ago and I’ve never looked back. It removes impurities from traveling and really keeps my skin in balance.

MOISTURIZE

Consistency is key, but packing skin care products for a trip can be a little challenging. To moisturize my skin and to remove my makeup at home, I rely on organic coconut oil. I love the way it smells and I think it is really gentle on my skin. I love my coconut oil in a glass jar, but it isn’t the easiest to travel with. Believe me, I’ve tried! I was so excited when I discovered Naturally Naked USDA Organic Coconut Oil Moisturizer by CocoRoo. Made with only organic extra virgin cold-pressed coconut oil and cold-pressed macadamia nut oil, this lotion (in a travel-friendly bottle – woo hoo!) keeps my skin soft and hydrated all day long! If you love essential oils, you have to try the energizing sensation of this one and the relaxing aroma of this one!

EXFOLIATE

To replenish my skin at home, I use organic coffee grounds. Coffee is an excellent exfoliator and the beans contain caffeic acid, which reportedly boosts collagen production. It’s also perfect for reducing inflammation, so bye-bye under eye bags! For traveling, I love CocoRoo Total ReJavanation Coffee Bean Scrub. It is seriously the yummiest smelling product ever! Every time I use it, I feel like I just walked into my favorite coffee shop. It exfoliates, hydrates and is made with only the purest ingredients. I don’t have to give up my organic coffee scrub routine just because I’m away from home!

Here are some other travel-ready products, so you’ll look fabulous on your next vacay!
